What your results mean

Engagement rate is the single number brands care about most: how many of your followers actually like and comment. It's (average likes + comments) ÷ followers. Pet accounts run about 2–3× higher engagement than typical lifestyle creators, so strong engagement lets you charge at — or above — your follower tier.

Suggested rate is a starting range for a single post at your platform and tier, nudged up or down by your engagement. It's a negotiating anchor, not a fixed price. Two quick adjustments the calculator flags for you:

Frequently asked questions

How do I calculate my engagement rate?

Add your average likes and average comments per post, divide by your follower count, and multiply by 100. This calculator does it for you — just enter the three numbers.

What's a good engagement rate for a pet account?

Because pet accounts engage well above average, 1–3% is solid, 3–6% is strong, and anything above 6% is excellent — especially for smaller accounts, which tend to run higher. Brands weigh engagement more heavily than raw follower count.

How much should a small pet account charge per post?

Nano accounts (1K–10K) commonly charge $20–$150 per Instagram post and $30–$250 per TikTok; micro accounts (10K–100K) $100–$1,000 and $150–$1,500. Where you land depends on engagement, deliverable, and usage rights — this tool estimates it for you.

Is this calculator accurate?

It gives a realistic 2026 starting range based on public benchmarks — not a guaranteed price. Rates vary by niche, brand budget, and negotiation. Use it as an anchor, then adjust for video, usage rights, and exclusivity.
